South Island Processing Capabilities

The tables below indicate our South Island standard processing capability for most of our core ranged glass products. If your requirements fall outside of these parameters, we can custom manufacture some items on request.

Note 1 - The thinner of the panes normally governs limitations, e.g. for 6+4 laminate makeup, use 4mm Product Guidelines

Note 2 - Normal maximums are recommended for good quality and to reduce reworks.

Note 3 - Sizes are subject to toughening sizes for thickness.

Note 4 - 6000x2800 toughing and heat soaking/processing in Auckland is possible for specific jobs depending on glass availability. Soft coat Low E heat soak on application.

Note 5 - Stock PVB Laminate excludes Clear 8.76mm and Bronze 6.38mm. Max Clear 8.76mm sheet is 4500 x 3210mm. Max Bronze 6.38 sheet is 3120 x 2250mm

Note 6 - LSG >40mm on application (Ex Auckland only)

General - For sizes below the specified minimum or with a shape area under 0.075m2 or outside the above dimensions, or for special applications refer to your metro sales representative.
The maximum acceptable aspect ratio (length/width) for any thickness of toughened glass is 15 to 1.

Shapes and Templates
Glass ordered to templates must be accompanied by a full scale template to the correct dimensions. Irregular Shape surcharge applies. Templates must be made from a rigid material and with separate templates for each panel marked with:
- The customer name and order number
- Hole type, size and locations
- The face side, glass type and thickness
- Edgework requirements
- Stamp type and position
