Note 1 - The thinner of the panes normally governs limitations, e.g. for 6+4 laminate makeup, use 4mm Product Guidelines.

Note 2 - Normal maximums are recommended for good quality and to reduce reworks.

Note 3 - Sizes are subject to toughening sizes for thickness.

Note 4 - 5000 x 2800 toughening and heat soaking/processing and DGU making in Auckland is possible for specific jobs depending on glass availability.

Note 5 - Stock PVB Laminate range comes in different stocksheet sizes. Contact Customer Service team for stock availability.

Note 6 - LSG >40mm on application (Ex Auckland only)

Note 7 - Heat Strengthened is available in thickness 4-12mm in the sizes listed above.

General - For sizes near the upper limits of maximum sizes, outside the sizes shown above or special applications refer to your salesperson. The maximum acceptable aspect ratio (length/width) for any thickness of toughened glass is 15 to 1.

Shapes and Templates
Glass ordered to templates must be accompanied by a full scale template to the correct dimensions. Irregular shape surcharge applies. Templates must be made from a rigid material and with separate templates for each panel marked with:
- The customer name and order number
- Hole type, size and locations
- The face side, glass type and thickness
- Edgework requirements
- Stamp type and position

Tempafloat™ Toughened Safety Glass
Details such as minimum and maximum limitations for holes, cut-outs, notches etc can be found here.

Toughened safety glass manufactured by the roller hearth toughening process can exhibit some optical distortion (roller wave) when viewed from certain angles.  This can be more noticeable when reflected light is observed by the viewer.  Designers and specifiers are encouraged to take these normal physical characteristics of toughened safety glass into account.

Site Limitations Wind Loading
The above size limitations are dictated by the furnace manufacturers and bear no relationship to the suitability of any given thickness to meet the requirements of the New Zealand Standards. Wind loading or Human Impact requirements must always be allowed for when specifying toughened glass and these MUST always be considered first.
