Metro Performance Glass (NZX.MPG; ASX.MPP) is at the forefront of providing high-performance glass and industry-leading service to Australasian residential and commercial construction markets. We have an extensive network of seven Australasian processing plants and fifteen distribution or retail sites across New Zealand.

We are Australasia’s leading manufacturer and installer of double-glazed windows for both new residential and retrofit markets. We also process annealed, toughened, laminated, painted and digitally-printed glass products for applications ranging from mirrors, showers, balustrades and kitchen splashbacks to commercial facades. Living by our purpose of making lives brighter everyday.

Julia Mayne

Julia has more than 30 years experience in financial and operational improvement roles, focused in particular on the Australasian building materials sector. Julia is currently the Head of Commercial at Scottish Pacific Business Finance.

Pramod Khatri

Appointed December 2023.

Pramod commenced his career in Audit and Business Advisory Services with Arthur Young (now Ernst and Young) in 1986 where he worked on a number of listed company audit and advisory assignments in NZ, Australia and Canada. Pramod was previously Managing Director and majority shareholder of McKechnie Aluminum Solutions Limited for over 20 years.

Simon Bennett

Simon is an experienced CEO, entrepreneur, and company director. Simon was previously the CEO of Accordant Group which encompassed numerous recruitment businesses. He had previously worked in retail and manufacturing.

Simon’s current directorships include The Icehouse, Hobson Leavy, Chair of Accordant group, and trustee of the International Centre for Entrepreneurship Foundation. Simon is a member of the institute of directors and a former member of the government’s Future of Work committee.

Tony Candy

Tony has held various CFO and leadership positions in a career than spans more than 30 years, where from 1992 to 2011 he was the CFO of Steel & Tube. Since then, Tony spent time as the CEO of Atlas Specialty Metals Limited and CFO of the Motor Trade Association. Tony is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration in Accounting from the Victoria University of Wellington.

General Manager North Island

Robyn Gibbard

Robyn leads the North Island region for Metro Glass and has worked in the business for more than 20 years. She has previously led Metro Glass’ sales force nationally and held many customer-facing roles across commercial glazing, branch management and sales management.

Nick Hardy-Jones

Nick leads the South Island region for Metro Glass and has been with the company since 2016. He previously spent five years in leadership roles within Metro Glass’ South Island commercial and glazing businesses. Prior to working in the glass industry, Nick held category, product and sales management roles within the commercial and residential roofing and cladding industries.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury.

Dayna Roberts

Dayna leads Metro Glass’ Human Resources team nationally. She has over 10 years’ experience in HR, Talent & Recruitment spending eight years at Fletcher Building before commencing with Metro Glass.

Dayna holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing & Management and a NZ Diploma in Business from the Auckland University of Technology.

Julia Mayne

Julia has more than 30 years experience in financial and operational improvement roles, focused in particular on the Australasian building materials sector. Julia is currently the Head of Commercial at Scottish Pacific Business Finance. Prior to this, she completed several consulting, programme management or Acting CEO roles focused on business improvement. From 2001 to 2015, Julia held senior financial leadership positions across the Fletcher Building Group, including the roles of General Manager Finance – Building Products division, the CFO of the Crane Division, and Divisional Finance Manager – Stramit Building Products.

Julia is a qualified CPA, has a CPA MBA from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of NSW and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong

Pramod Khatri

Pramod commenced his career in Audit and Business Advisory Services with Arthur Young (now Ernst and Young) in 1986 where he worked on a number of listed company audit and advisory assignments in NZ, Australia and Canada. In 1993 Pramod left EY to undertake his MBA studies following which he held a number of senior management roles in the New Zealand Dairy, Roading & construction, and manufacturing sectors. 

In 2001 Pramod joined the McKechnie Metals business as Commercial Manager and in 2002 was promoted to General Manager. In 2004, Pramod led the management buyout of the McKechnie Aluminium business and became its Managing Director and major shareholder. Pramod and his team transformed this business from a commodity based supplier of extruded aluminium products to a more value adding business. In 2012 McKechnie entered the Window and Door business through the acquisition of the Omega business and started supplying window systems to a network of window fabricators throughout the country. Up until July 2022, Pramod remained as Managing Director and majority shareholder of McKechnie Aluminium when the business was sold to American interests. 

Pramod is also currently the Chairman and Shareholder of Christchurch based AW Fraser Limited, a supplier of bronze, brass and precision machined components. A role he has held since 2006 when he assisted the management team at the time with the buyout of that business from private equity interests. In addition to this, Pramod is a trustee of a New Plymouth based charitable trust which provides financial support to students entering tertiary studies.

Shawn Beck

Shawn has a varied background, including serving as an equities analyst and institutional dealer, investment banker, private equity general partner, company director, company founder, and owner operator. 

Specific experience includes: nearly 20 years as a co-founding director of Pencarrow Private Equity, director and/or chair of approximately 15 companies in a wide range of industries including three publicly listed NZX companies, and execution or direct oversight of around 70 corporate finance transactions including IPO's, debt and equity raisings, takeover receipts and M&A.
